Accessibility Statement

Using the following table of content links will scroll the page to the relevant section. Please Note: Opens this link in a new window indicates link opens in a new window.

What Is Web Accessibility?

Web accessibility is the practice of making website content available to all users, particularly those with disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. It includes making a website as accessible as possible regardless of browsing technology, such as for people with text-only web browsers and old browser versions.

Proactis' Commitment To Web Accessibility

Proactis Holdings Plc. is committed to making its websites available to as many people as possible. To this end Proactis use a dedicated accessibility team. Any queries may be directed to the team at webadmin@millstream.eu to be dealt with quickly, efficiently, and to the satisfaction of the visitor. Measures taken to ensure our site is accessible include:

  • All our images have text equivalents enabling screen readers to read aloud the information required;
  • Each page on the site has a link which allows visitors to jump directly to the content on the page and ignore any menu items;
  • Our website pages are designed to enable users to change the size of text on the page;
  • We conduct regular validation checks to ensure our web pages remain valid and usable;
  • Each abbreviation or acronym in a page has been expanded where it first occurs;
  • We have used alternative pages where there are known usability barriers;
  • Pages visited (Breadcrumb trails) are provided on each page to provide easy navigation;
  • We provide a contact us page which may be directed to the accessibility team;
  • Our website is predominantly tested using a screen reader.

Skip to Content

Hidden at the top of every page is a 'skip to content' link. This link is spoken by screen reading software and will become visible when tabbed to. By selecting this link you will enter the main content of the page and will not have to listen to any menu items.

Known Barriers

Skip to Content links

We are aware that the "skip to content" link does not function on the browsers Google Chrome and Safari.

This is a known issue with the actual web browsers and not this website. This link will be functioning when the browsers in question address the issue.

Screen reader issues with Internet Explorer 7 and Internet Explorer 8

This website makes use of Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA), which allows us to alert screen readers immediately to any errors that occur when a search is performed or a form is submitted.

We are aware that this feature does not work efficiently on Internet Explorer versions 7 and 8. Upgrading your browser to Internet Explorer 9 if you use screen readers such as JAWS will correct the issues.

Product Categories and Geographic Locations:

A problem exists in the selection of product categories and geographic locations when using our services. An alternative version of this feature is provided and linked to directly from the page.

Date and Time pickers:

These features have been enhanced to allow users to tab through the calendar or use the table navigation keys when using screen readers.
